Mexican Chiapas
Origin
Our Mexican Chiapas beans are grown at an elevation of 800 - 1600 metres, and are harvested between December and April. Peoples Coffees beans are produce by a cooperative called ISMAN, which was established in 1985 and represents Mayan farmers from more than 100 rural communities in the region of Sierra Madre de Chiapas. ISMAN produces 171 containers of coffee every year.
Flavour
Full-bodied with a pleasant acidity. This origin has a nutty character finishing with warm chocolate overtones. Lovely!
Use
As a single origin, Mexican Chiapas works best as filter or plunger, but holds its own well as a milk espresso coffee (especially a latte or flat white).

Incredible coffee and great people, it's always a superbly made brew wherever you go when it's Peoples

Fair Trade practices are fundamental to how we run our business. It's one of the reasons we started a coffee business in the first place.
