Milk Crate

Milk Crate is a sophisticated little joint located right next to the Bowen Gallery on Ghuznee. Enjoy one of Hannah's or Becky's perfect espressos and a freshly made baguette whilst taking in the arty atmosphere. If you're heading past in the morning don't miss Joe's mum's muesli — delicious.

John is an Espresso Machine. Well he has two espresso machines, himself being the 3rd — locally known as the Man Who Never Sleeps. Serving up takeaways and counter goodies to the Hospital-centric sector of Newtown from the Triangular Velox. A great hang-out, stop-off point.

Slotting into the upper-inner first story of Wellington Central Library is the atmospherically lit and futuristically designed Clarks Cafe, generally packed out with avid book-readers and cafe-goers alike. Serving up a wide range of serve-over and to-order foodies, with baristas busting out nonstop lattes. Snug!

Three quarters of the way up Cuba Street you’ll find the enigmatically-titled CQ Cafe (Coffee Quality?), integrated with the restaurant and bar of Hotel Wellington. An army of keen baristas serve up flat whites, cocktails, and perhaps combinations of the two.

Within Vicbooks Espresso Bar (located in the Student Union Building — if not in the heart of the campus, then at least the left lung), lies the answer to the good coffee drought on campus. Peoples Coffee, combined with delectable food and pastries (not to mention the books, oh the books), makes Vicbooks an oasis of vital replenishment in the Victoria University campus.
